Why are my Overview statistics not displaying correctly?

In this article, we’ll look at the possible reasons why your statistics may not match what you expect to see, or appear to be “incorrect.”

Noticing discrepancies in your Butler Overview statistics? Don’t worry, this is a common issue, and the solution is usually very simple. In most cases, the mismatch is caused by incorrect use of the date/time filters or by settings related to your store’s operating hours.

This article will guide you step by step through identifying and correcting the most common causes of inaccurate statistics.

Possible Causes and Solutions

1. Incorrect Date/Time Filters

The Issue: The most common cause is selecting the wrong time period for the statistics you want to view. You may have chosen the wrong date, the wrong date range, or not applied any filters at all.

Solution:

  • Go to the first tab, “Overview”, in the Butler Panel.

  • Locate the date filter (default set to “Today”) and the time filter (“Store Hours”) at the top of the tab.

  • Make sure you’ve selected the exact time period you’re interested in (e.g., specific day, week, month, or a custom range).

  • Once you’ve set the correct filters, click “Apply” (or the equivalent button) to refresh the statistics.

2. Incorrect or Disabled Store Hours

The Issue: If the operating hours you set in the Butler Panel do not match your store’s actual hours, or if you haven’t enabled the store hours option using the toggle in the corresponding filter, the statistics may not be accurate.

For example, if the system shows that the store is closed while it is actually receiving orders, those orders will not appear or be counted in the statistics.

Solution:

  1. Check Store Hours

    • Go to the “Settings” tab and locate the section for your store’s operating hours.

    • Verify: Do the displayed hours match your store’s actual operating hours? If not, correct them.

    • Save your changes (if you made any updates).

  2. Ensure the store is open in Butler Panel

  • Go to the “Settings” tab and locate the section for your store’s operating hours.

  • At the top of the “Store” subsection, locate the “Store Status” indicator. Make sure the toggle is switched on, showing “The store is open.”

    Important Note:

  • After making any changes to your store hours settings, return to the “Overview” tab and reapply the date/time filters to see the updated statistics.
