Closing the register is an essential process for every business, as it ensures accurate recording and control of all transactions made during a specific period.
With Butler, this process is quick and simple—whether you want to view the total register for the venue, or the register of a specific server or ordering station.
1. Log in to Butler Panel
Log in to Butler Panel with your account credentials. If you encounter any difficulties, refer to the login guide found here.
2. Go to the “Transactions” Tab
Open the menu on the left-hand side and navigate to the tab called “Transactions.”
3. View Total Cash/Turnover
At the top of the “Transactions” tab, you will find a table titled “Turnover,” which shows for the current day:
Total Turnover: The total amount of transactions completed in the venue (displayed in purple text).
Breakdown by Payment Method: How much was collected in cash, card, etc.
4. Register per Server or Ordering Station
To see the cash of a specific server or ordering station, you will need to use the filters located at the top of the tab.
Select Filters: Click the “Filters” button at the top of the “Transactions” page.
Filter by User: Choose the “User” option and then select the server or ordering station you are interested in.
View Cash: The “Turnover” table will automatically update, showing the data for the selected user or station.
5. View Turnover for a Specific Period
By default, the “Transactions” tab shows your daily turnover stats. However, you can use the filters to view turnover for any period you like, for example for inventory or accounting purposes. You can select:
Preset periods: By clicking the “Today” filter, you can choose any date or range (e.g., yesterday, last 7 days, current month, etc.).
Custom period: Set a specific start and end date.
By store hours: By selecting the “Store Hours” filter, you can specify a time range within the day to see the register for specific shifts or working hours (e.g., morning shift, evening shift).
