1. Assigning Orders to a Courier
To assign an incoming order to one of your couriers, follow these steps:
Go to the “Orders (Delivery)” section from the Butler Panel menu, under the “New Orders” tab.
Select the order you want to assign to your courier by clicking on it.
Once you click on it, the following screen will appear:
Click the “Assign Orders” button, and a new window will appear where you can select the courier to whom you want to assign the order.
For your couriers to appear as "Users" (so you can assign orders to them), you must first add them as staff members under Settings → Staff. For detailed instructions on how to do this, click here.
Once you’ve selected a courier, click the “Execute” button at the bottom-right corner of your screen.
The order will then disappear from the “New Orders” tab and automatically move to the “To Deliver” tab. There, you can view all order details as well as the courier you assigned.
You also have the option to reassign the order: simply select it from the “To Deliver” tab and click the “Change Order Assignment” button, as shown below.
2. Order Claiming by Couriers
Similarly, your couriers can also claim available delivery orders themselves, provided they have the Butler Panel installed on their mobile device and you’ve already added them as users under your staff.
The process is the same, with the difference that when they select an order from the “New Orders” tab, they press the “Claim Order” button.
From that moment, the order will move automatically to the “To Deliver” tab, where it will appear under their name as the assigned courier.
3. Actions During the Delivery of an Order
In the “To Deliver” tab, your courier ,once they have either claimed or been assigned an order, can perform the following actions:
If the order has been prepaid by card, they can mark it as “Delivered” once the delivery is completed.
If the order is set to be paid upon delivery, the courier can first collect the payment (cash or POS) and then mark the order as “ Paid and Delivered”.
