With Butler, the availability of your categories and products is updated in real time. Whether a product is out of stock or the kitchen is experiencing a temporary issue, you can adjust the display of your catalogue accordingly, ensuring that both your customers and staff always have access to accurate information.
Let’s take a look at how you can change the availability of products and categories in your catalogue.
1. Log in to the Butler Panel
Sign in to the Butler Panel using your account credentials. If you encounter any difficulties, refer to the login guide available here.
2. Access the Catalogue
Open the options menu on the left side of the screen. Then, go to the tab labeled “Catalogue.”
3. Disable a Category
In the window that appears, you’ll see your product categories. At the bottom right of each category, there is a toggle button. By clicking it, you can enable or disable a category, as shown below:
When you disable a category, neither staff nor customers will be able to see it — whether in the Point of Sale or in the digital catalogue.
In the same way, you can disable or enable the availability of a product within a category by clicking the corresponding toggle button at the bottom right of each product.
Key Differences
Disabling a category completely removes-hides the category and all its products from both the Point of Sale catalogue and the digital catalogue, as if they never existed.
In contrast, disabling a product keeps it visible in the catalogue but marks it as “Not Available,” allowing customers to know that it cannot be ordered at the moment.
