Change Calculator

Here we’ll go through a step-by-step guide on how to use the Change Calculator tool.

The Change Calculator is designed to make the payment process easier. It allows you to quickly see the change you need to give back to the customer when the payment is made in cash.

Specifically:

1. Log in to Butler Panel

Log in to Butler Panel with your account credentials. If you encounter any difficulties, refer to the login guide found here.

2. Enable Change Calculator

  • Go to the top right and click the user icon . A menu with various account options will appear.

  • Click the second button in the list, “User Preferences,” and the following tab will open:

  • By selecting the “Change Calculator” tool, it is now enabled.

To use the tool, this process must be completed for each user individually.

3. Get Paid by a Table Using the “Change Calculator” Tool

Once you have enabled the Change Calculator in User Preferences, whenever you select “Cash Payment” while settling a table, a screen will automatically appear. This screen allows you to enter the exact amount received and shows the change that needs to be returned.

In more detail:

  • When you click “Cash Payment,” the following screen will automatically appear:

    Here you can select the exact type of cash received. By tapping on each banknote or coin, the amount is added to the total received. If you have selected an amount and want to subtract it, press the “–” button next to the “C” at the top right of the screen.

    Example of subtraction:

  • At the top right, you’ll see the total amount of cash you entered as received, and directly below it the change you need to give back.

  • Once you’ve confirmed that you entered the correct amount and returned the proper change, click the “Complete Payment” button at the bottom of the screen.

4. Payment at the Point of Sale Using the “Change Calculator” Tool

To use the Change Calculator tool at the Point of Sale, the process is similar to paying a table.

In detail:

  • When you select “Cash Payment,” the following screen will automatically appear:

  • The process of selecting the amount and completing the payment is the same as the procedure described above.
