Accepting contactless payments in your store through Butler and Viva is now more flexible than ever!
With the new Tap-to-Pay feature, you can use both your iPhone and Android Smartphone as POS terminals for contactless payments with card, Apple Pay, Google Wallet, or other wallet applications, simply with your device – without external equipment.
This way, you have complete freedom of device choice, depending on your needs.
Prerequisites for its use via Butler
1) Device compatibility:
For Android:
Android software version 12 or newer.
Built-in NFC functionality.
For iPhone:
All models from iPhone XR – XS and later are supported.
Built-in NFC functionality.
It is recommended to check the exact specifications on Viva’s website.
2) Viva account: An active Viva business account is required.

3) Viva.com | Terminal App: The latest version of the Viva.com | Terminal app must be installed from the App Store on iPhone or from the Google Play Store on Android.
Setup Process in Butler Panel
For connecting the Viva Tap to Pay service (through the Viva.com | Terminal app) with the Butler Panel, follow the steps below from the device that will be used for payments:
1. Installation and Login to the Viva.com | Terminal App:
Make sure the Viva.com | Terminal app is installed.
Open the app and log in to your company Viva account, which will receive the payments.
Follow the instructions for the Tap-to-Pay function as they appear on the screen.
2. Access the Butler Panel
Open the Butler Panel app.
Log in with the user account that will use Butler (Gmail, Apple, or Microsoft).
3. Go to Butler Account Information
Within the Butler Panel, locate and tap the user icon (
), which is at the top right of the screen, to display the account options.
4. Select "Device Preferences"
From the drop-down menu, select the setting "Device Preferences".
5. Enable Connection with Viva
On the "Device Preferences" screen, locate the option labeled "Connect with Viva" and tap on it. You will see a checkmark icon appear to the right of the option, indicating that it has been successfully enabled.
6. Complete the Integration
For optimal performance and to ensure smooth communication between the applications, it is usually recommended to restart the Viva.com | Terminal app on your device, as well as the Butler Panel app after the initial integration.
If your store also has other payment terminals (POS), when you proceed with selecting card payment within the Butler environment, the specific device you just configured will appear as an available terminal option.
You will easily recognize it, as it usually appears at the top of the options list, often with a distinct purple button labeled "This Device".
